Privacy Policy

LAST UPDATED · 15 June 2026

This policy explains what personal data AIInterviewTraining.com collects, why, and what choices you have. We try to collect as little as possible. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

01What we collect

Account data from Google sign-in: your name, email address, and profile image. We use this to create and identify your account.

Profile data you provide: the public username (handle) you choose, and any comments or questions you submit.

Usage data: which questions you open, mark as done, bookmark, or vote on, so we can show your progress and recommend what to study next. We also keep aggregate counts such as question views.

Google Analytics (only if you allow analytics): Google Analytics collects standard usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location (derived from IP) and device and browser type. If you decline, or never answer, the Google Analytics script is never loaded.

Our own product analytics (only if you allow analytics): we record events on our own servers so we can see which answers people read and where they get stuck. They are tied to a random identifier kept in your browser's local storage, and, if you are signed in, linked to your account, which makes them personal data. We record the page path, the referring site's domain and any utm_* campaign tags on the link you arrived through; we never record query strings, full referring URLs, your IP address or anything you type. This identifier is not created at all until you allow analytics, and our server refuses these events without that choice.

Payment data: when you buy access, our payment providers (Razorpay, PayPal) process the transaction. We receive a confirmation and a reference, the amount, and the access window. We do not receive or store your full card number or UPI credentials.

02How we use it

To provide the Service: authenticate you, unlock the content you are entitled to, save progress and bookmarks, and run discussions.

To operate and improve the product: understand which questions are useful, prevent abuse and fraud, and provide support.

To communicate with you about your account, purchases, or support requests. We do not sell your personal data.

03Legal bases

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (to deliver access you purchased), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service), consent (where required, e.g. certain cookies), and legal obligation (e.g. tax records).

Where India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies, we process your personal data for the lawful purpose of providing the Service you have signed up for, with your consent given at sign-up.

04Cookies and analytics

Strictly necessary storage is always on: sign-in and session cookies (to keep you signed in), your theme preference, a signed cookie that counts any free premium answers you have opened (it enforces a limit, it does not track you), and the preference cookie that remembers your privacy choices. The site cannot work without them.

Analytics and advertising are optional, separate choices, and both are off until you choose. The first time you visit, the privacy banner asks; nothing optional runs before you answer, and Decline is as prominent as Allow. "Allow analytics" turns on our own analytics and Google Analytics together. Advertising (Google Ads, used to measure whether our ads led to a sign-up or purchase, and to support personalised advertising) is a separate unchecked choice under Customize, and is offered only when we run Google Ads.

You can change your mind at any time from "Privacy choices" in the site footer. Withdrawing a choice stops future collection immediately and removes the related identifiers from your browser; it does not sign you out or touch your progress. It does not delete events already recorded, which you can ask us to delete (see Your rights). Your choice is stored for 180 days in a small preference cookie, after which we ask again.

Where it applies to you (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR or India's DPDP Act), these choices are how we obtain your consent for optional analytics and advertising.

05Who we share with

Service providers who help us run the product: our hosting provider, Google (for authentication; and, only with your separate consent, Google Analytics and Google Ads), Resend (to deliver service emails such as receipts and access-expiry notices), and payment processors (Razorpay, PayPal). We do not send marketing email. Each only receives what it needs for its function, and your use of Google Analytics data is also subject to Google's own policies.

If you submit a question and we publish it, the question text (and, if you were signed in, your public handle) may appear publicly on the site and in our open-source question repository. Do not include anything private or confidential in a submission or comment.

We may disclose data if required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the Service.

06Retention

We keep account data while your account is active. Payment records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting law. Published contributions may remain on the site after account closure, in line with the licence in our Terms. You can ask us to delete your account; we will remove personal data that we are not legally required to keep.

07Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data-protection authority. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.

08Security, transfers, and children

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any unauthorized access to, alteration of, or loss of data that occurs despite our use of reasonable measures, and the limitation of liability in our Terms & Conditions applies to this Policy.

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours; where required we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

09Governing law, changes, and contact

This Policy is governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to it, subject to any mandatory data-protection or consumer rights that apply to you and cannot be waived.

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date reflects the latest version, and your continued use of the Service means you accept the current version.

For any privacy request or question, use the contact form on the site, email [email protected], or reach us at [email protected] for general enquiries.
